Medusa’s Labyrinth is Going Live on Kickstarter
Medusa’s Labyrinth is an adventure horror game based in ancient Greece played from a first person perspective with Oculus Rift. In this terrifying game, the user has to make it through a frightening journey in the garden of Hesperides. The garden of Hesperides was once a heaven watched over by Hera which now lies in ruin and corruption packed with malevolent beings, monsters and tormented spirits. To get to the garden, the player will carefully find his/her way through the dark hallways on Temple Island, chilling catacombs, gloomy amphitheaters and solve the ominous mysteries of the labyrinthine. According to its developers, the game is a thrilling fusion of horror of Amnesia with the sneaking and archery of Thief.

Medusa’s Labyrinth is created by Guru Games and like most of the small companies, they are having financial trouble in finishing their project. To overcome the problem, the team of Medusa’s Labyrinth took a smart step and approached Kickstarter to start their funding. Funding for the game will begin of 21st October 2014 on Kickstarter. You can checkout the game’s countdown timer on Kickstarter.

Oculus Rift has not yet been released to the public market but thousands of people have already ordered it. If you wish to fully enjoy the concept of the game, Medusa’s Labyrinth is best played in the virtual environment. Not only it will offer great mechanics and unique features, Oculus Rift will be able to deliver the exact sinister and eerie vibe of the game.

Medusa’s Labyrinth boasts a perfect combination of setting and mechanics. First of all, the atmosphere of the game is extremely spine tingling and it mingles well with the grim architecture, art and myths and creatures from ancient times. Moreover, the story of Medusa’s Labyrinth is inspired by tragedies of that time. Imagine being in the dark tunnel with a Minotaur on your feet! There is a manifested inventory. While playing the game, you will be absolutely immersed and there will not be any distractions to take your mind off the scary experience. If you wish to know many arrows you have left, just take a quick look at your quiver and that’s that. There is no HUD, inventory screen or heath bars to draw your attention away. Let’s hope the company gets to collect sufficient amount of funds on Kickstarter as the concept of game sounds rather great.
